Your Next Steps
Now that you have received your acceptance letter here is some important information about the next steps you should take to become a Kean Student. It is as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Fill out and return the Enrollment Survey Form
This form accompanied your acceptance letter.
2. Register for the Placement (Accuplacer) Test.
To support successful completion of the Academic Foundations courses required of all students, Kean University uses multiple criteria to determine appropriate initial course placements for incoming freshmen. University policy requires that all newly-admitted freshmen take the ACCUPLACER Computerized Placement Test before they register for classes — unless they have been exempted from all or part of this test due to their SAT scores.
You may register for the placement test at placementtest.kean.edu, click on "Register for Test"; then print your confirmation form, parking flier and campus map. To assist you in preparing for the test, click on "Resources for Students" for sample questions. If you have questions regarding the placement test, please call the Testing Office at (908) 737-0340.
To help prepare you for the Accuplacer Test, Kean University is offering Math Placement Test Preparation Sessions during the month of June in the General Education Math Lab located in the Center for Academic Success Building, Room 116. You can register for the preparation session by clicking here >>
3. Register for classes.
Registration cannot take place until you have taken the Placement Accuplacer Test. After you have taken the placement test at Kean University, you may register for classes (for Incoming Freshman only): cas.kean.edu/cas/indexfreshman.asp
